Vogue Vogue introducing a Unique Illustration: a fashion illustration flashmob based solely on Instagram. Illustrators from around the world post artistic interpretations of the same brief, on the same day, at the same time, using the same hashtag. The Unique Illustration then collates all the uploaded sketches and posts them onto the main account for a fluid celebration of one theme, such as the recent iterations of British Vogue’s June cover, starring Cara Delevingne, styled by Joe McKenna and shot by Steven Meisel.Cara Delevingne

Alina Zamanova and Maria Veronica the two artists, based in Ukraine and London respectively, share the same passion for giving illustrators a platform to showcase their work, but – crucially – they have never met.Fashion Magazine

The duo, who are both working creatives in their respective cities, pooled their time and energy into the project after the original founder – another mysterious social domain, simply known as Sasha – abandoned the idea following a one-off flashmob a year ago. “We knew we had to grow it to give more illustrators the opportunity to share their work,” Zamanova tells Vogue of taking the network of underground illustrators global.
