PUSH UP FOR PINK Stella McCartney has designed a special hot-pink range of her Gemma Relaxing lingerie range in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
A percentage of profits from sales of the range (priced $40 to $80) will benefit the Linda McCartney Centre in Liverpool, England, specifically to fund a new mammography suite at the center, which was established in 2000, two years after Linda McCartney, Stella’s mother, succumbed to the disease.

To add an extra boost to the campaign, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott shot Kate Moss wearing the Gemma bra with a strategically placed pink ribbon. The image will run on McCartney’s Web site and social media platforms. “There are so many women affected by this terrible disease and even more people affected by the loss of the incredible women in their lives,” said McCartney. “There are preventive ways that can help; having knowledge of your body, maintenance and upkeep. Raising awareness on breast cancer is critical…I wanted to remind women that when they wear this set, the first thing they put on in the morning, to keep on top of their health and visit their doctor regularly.”
